A forward-thinking, fast-growing, private company completing work throughout the nation, Miron Construction is also one of Wisconsin’s largest construction firms. Miron provides innovative pre-construction, construction management, design-build and general construction services.
Cool Choices launched its initial pilot game with Miron. The game, iChoose, was a real-world game where employees earned points by taking and reporting environmentally sustainable actions related to energy, water, indoor air quality, waste management and food. Cool Choices maintained a website where Miron participants could report their actions, check their standing on the leaderboard, and see stories and photos from their coworkers. The website also provided fact sheets and other learning opportunities related to the actions.
Of Miron’s 330 employees, 247 signed-up to play with 220 employees playing (a 67% employee participation playing rate).
The video below documents Miron employees changing their behavior through fun, social and easy game-inspired actions. Habits developed in the game continue to save money and resources! Watch the Cool Choices and Miron Construction Company video.
